Music: Recordings and Arrangements

One Year Of Pain

Music: Cel   (November 2006)
Some use of the Karma finally. Recently mixed, the tracks have been sitting in my archives for sometime. See also the music video.

The Commuter

Music: Cel   (September 2006)
Improvisation on a melodic bluesey theme, gave a good run in E-minor. Blend of American and Vintage amps with some drive from a Tube Screamer.

Loving Queen

Arrangement: Cel   (June 2004)
Easy listening, first arrangement using GarageBand, Mac.

Kyren The Dead

Music: Cel   (Fall 2001)
Rough demo written and recorded in 3 days. No ideas for the vocal parts yet. The main objective of this track was to investigate the recording workflow with the limited resources then. This was a time when I had no multi-track recorders or mixers, just a DOD FX7 board, MSFT Sound Recorder and Fast Tracker II for sequencing the drums.

Takagamahara

Music: Cel   (circa 1999)
J-rock instrumental, upbeat mood. Takagamahara means "The High Plains of Heaven" in Japanese.

Fritzy

Arrangement: Cel   (January 2005)
Beeebop!!! Fritzu's style. The feeling you get when you take cruise-walks in the city with Fritz.

Limited Memory

Arrangement: Cel / Val   (June 2004)
Unique, I actually sequenced the song on my new Sony Ericsson T637. My brother, Val, obtained the midi track and rearranged the song, then remixed the instruments. Simply fun. See also his page for some of his great compositions.

Shades of Grey

Music: Sharim, Drums & Arrangement: Cel   (Spring 2003)
I've always been a fan of my bud's trackings, and thought that this could use a better drum track and arrangement. Didn't get that punchy, but the end result is good.

Scythe-orn
One of my band projects, 1998-2001. Good times at the local jamm studios.

Wherever You Will Go

Music: Cel   (Spring 1998)
Very simple track, with some good arranged strings. The structured broken piano chords was my fad at the time. One of my first few XM tracks.

Tenth

Arrangement: Cel   (June 2004)
Experiments with techno synths, rather quickly done arrangement. Nice samples and beats. Another GarageBand product.

Thursday

Arrangement: Cel   (June 2004)
I think you should notice a trend here, the lack of time required for an original recording effort is quite visible. That's where GarageBand can come in handy. Fun and quick.
